OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards of coming into contact with hot exhaust pipe.    On or about August 7, 2013 the exhaust pipe from a diesel engine did not have a heat shield exposing workers to the hazards associated with surfaces of extremely hot temperatures.  The exhaust pipe was located four feet over a passageway and at an exit point from the platform of Rig 1767.
