29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws:  The employer does not ensure that all flexible cords are connected to fittings so that tension would not be transmitted to joints or terminal screws. This violation occurred on or about August 08, 2013, in the knife sharpening area, where employees were using a knife grinder lubricating pump powered by an extension cord without strain relief between the cord and the plug fitting.    Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that strain relief is provided on all flexible cords and cables.
