29 CFR 1926.1101(f)(1)(i): Where exposure monitoring was required under 29 CFR 1926.1101, the employer did not perform monitoring to determine accurately the airborne concentrations of asbestos to which employees were or potentially were exposed: On or about August 14, 2013 and at times prior thereto, the employer did not perform initial air monitoring to determine employee exposure to asbestos. Employees installing electrical equipment, controls and wiring within 2 feet below and adjacent to asbestos-containing (ACM) e.g. Thermal System Insulation (TSI) and presumed asbestos-containing (PACM) materials, had not been monitored to determine the extent and degree of exposure to airborne asbestos fibers while performing these tasks. This practice created a condition for exposure to inhalation and ingestion hazards associated with airborne asbestos fibers.
