OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to explosion and fire hazards:  On or about 8/16/13 at the Delevan Asphalt Plant located at 11802 Route 16, Delevan, New York; an employee cleaning the discharge chute on the double barrel asphalt drum was burned when the material coming from the drum ignited and exploded in the drag conveyor.   Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard includes complying with the National Asphalt Pavement Association publication "Preventing Fires and Explosions in Hot Mix Asphalt Plants", Part 2, Section II, paragraph F, Hi Mix Temperature.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
