29 CFR 1926.651(c)(2): A stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress was not located in trench excavations that were 4 feet (1.22m) or more in depth so as to require no more than 25 feet (7.62m) of lateral travel for employees: (a) 108 East Main Street, Brownstown Pennsylvania - Employees worked in an excavation setting forms. The employer did not ensure that the employees were provided with a means of egress every 25 feet of lateral travel, on or about August 19, 2013. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
