29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) 3rd Floor Rear - Plumbers were observed installing PVC pipes near window openings with their ledges 23 inches above the floor surface without using fall protection and were exposed to a 26 feet 2 ½ inches fall hazard, on or about July 30, 2013. (b) 3rd Floor - Plumbers were observed installing PVC pipes near a floor opening without using fall protection and were exposed to a 10 feet 6 inches fall hazard, on or about July 30, 2013. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
