Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.

29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(i) Conductors entering cutout boxes, cabinets, or fittings shall be protected from abrasion, and openings through which conductors enter shall be effectively closed. a) On, or at dates prior to, August 15, 2013, employees on the workroom floor were exposed to hazard of electrical shock because electrical conduit of a hydraulic press had broken free from an electrical cabinet, and a plastic conduit fitting, resulting in conductors being exposed to abrasion and openings not effectively closed. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.

29 CFR 1910.305(d)(2): Panelboard enclosures. Panelboards shall be mounted in cabinets, cutout boxes, or enclosures designed for the purpose and shall be dead front. However, panelboards other than the dead front externally-operable type are permitted where accessible only to qualified persons. (a) On, or at dates prior to, August 15, 2013, employees in the job shop were exposed to hazard of electrocution from open areas within an electrical panel which did not provide a protection from inadvertent contact with exposed live electrical connections.
