29 CFR 1910.333(c)(3)(iii)(A): Vehicles or mechanical equipment capable of having parts of their structures elevated near energized overhead lines were not operated so that a clearance of 10 feet (305 cm) was maintained:   The employer does not ensure mechanical equipment was operated so that a minimum clearance of 10 feet was maintained near energized overhead lines.  This violation occurred on or about August 21, 2013, in the company yard where an employee was exposed to electrical hazards when the elevated boom of a Komatsu 270 Excavator came into contact with energized overhead lines.           Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that vehicles or mechanical equipment are not operated unless there is a minimum clearance of 10 feet from energized overhead lines.
