29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s) Employees were operating forklifts that were in need of repair: a) # 7 Windham forklift leaks hydraulic fluid from both tilt cylinders causing mast drift. b) Red Manitous emergency brakes does not engage. c) # 26 Windham forklift leaks hydraulic fluid from its side shift cylinder. d) Komatsu FD70 has a broken windshield and leaks hydraulic fluid from the left tilt cylinder. e) # 38 Windham forklift leaks transmission fluid and hydraulic fluid from its side shift cylinder.
