29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) Southside, Roof - On or about August 22, 2013 one employee was exposed to fall hazard when unloading material on a 1:12 pitch roof with unprotected sides. Employee was not protected from falling 11 feet to a lower level by the use of personal fall arrest system, safety net system or guardrail system.
