29 CFR 1910.157(d)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not selected based on the classes of anticipated workplace fires and on the size and degree of hazard that would affect their use: (a) 341 saw area, Plate Department: Aluminum metal dust produced during the cutting process of the metal plate had accumulated on and around the 341 saw. A Class D fire extinguisher was not selected or available for use on incipient stage fires that would involve explosive aluminum metal dust, as determined on January 14, 2014.
