29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning. Compressed air shall not be used for cleaning purposes except where reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. and then only with effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment. On or about 26 August 2013, and at times prior thereto, three employees used compressed air to clean out wood debris and dust from a Whirlwind Cut-Off Saw when it was used for wood cutting, exposing the employees to a struck by hazard to the eyes and skin.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(i)(A): The depth of the working space in the direction of access to live parts may not be less than indicated in Table S-1. Distances shall be measured from the live parts if they are exposed or from the enclosure front or opening if they are enclosed. On or about 26 August 2013, and at times prior thereto, two electrical quick disconnect switches located on the production floor were blocked in a manner that did not allow quick, safe and ready access in an emergency, exposing employees working in the area to a tripping hazard.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided that will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. On or about 26 August 2013, and at times prior thereto, the flexible cord for a table mounted router was damaged such that the internally sheathed wires were exposed at both the plug end and the router end, exposing the employee using the router to an electrical hazard of approximately 120 volts.
