29 CFR 1926.451(g)(2): The employer did not provide fall protection for employees erecting or dismantling supported scaffolds where the installation and use of such protection is feasible and does not create a greater hazard. a) Northeast side of jobsite, 2nd tier supported scaffold platform: An employee was decking the 2nd tier supported scaffold platform during the erection of a 6-tier supported scaffold. The employer determined that fall protection for employees erecting the supported scaffold is feasible with a fall arrest system, but did not provide fall arrest anchors for the employee decking the 2nd tier scaffold platform. On or about 08/12/13. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
