29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c). On or about August 21, 2013, while working at an excavation site, no protective devices, effective benching, or sloping were in place to protect employees as they worked in an open trench, exposing employees to the hazard of being crushed by collapsing soil. BECCO CONTRACTORS INC., WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1926.652(A)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 313690307, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 2, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON AUGUST 18, 2010, WITH A FINAL ABATEMENT DATE OF AUGUST 2, 2010, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE HAZARD AT 193RD STREET AND 1ST STREET IN CATOOSA, OK 74108.
