29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii): Each employee on a scaffold, not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above lower level was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section.   The employer does not ensure that employees on scaffolds more than 10 feet above a lower level are protected from falling by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems.  This violation was observed on or about September 3, 2013, on the south facade of Building 1A where employees were exposed to a fall hazard greater than 10 feet when installing building wrap from a scaffold without a guardrail system or personal fall arrest system.       Pursuant to 29 C.F. R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees on scaffolds more than 10 feet above a lower level are protected from falling by fall protection.
