29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6: a) Warehouse Area: On or about 09/05/13, two (2) Arsine gas (a highly toxic, pyrophoric, flammable gas) cylinders were not stored, in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965; in such manner as to prevent damage to the Arsine gas cylinders such that the cylinders could not be knocked over nor damaged by passing powered industrial vehicle traffic. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
