29 CFR 1910.157(g): The employer did not provide an educational program to familiarize employees with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire-fighting where portable fire extinguishers for employee use were in the workplace. a) On or about September 5, 2013 at the SourceHOV facility at 575 Boices Lane, Kingston, NY employees were not trained in the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting. This facility has portable fire extinguishers for employee use in the workplace and employees are expected to know how to operate them.
