29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about September 5, 2013 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing roofing operations approximately nine (9) feet above the ground were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards. b On or about September 5, 2013 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees conducting roofing operations on a 6:12 pitched roof, approximately nine (9) feet above the ground, were exposed to falls to the inside of the building, created by the presence of unprotected skylights.
