29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes were not free and/or unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp were not provided where the exit route was not substantially level. a) 1 Tralee Industrial Park, Newark, DE-Furnace and Warehouse- Emergency route was obstructed with a large piece of equipment. Observed on and about 9/6/13. b) 1 Tralee Industrial Park, Newark, DE-Sea Kit-Employees were exposed to a tripping hazard while working in an area where the emergency exit discharge area was not leveled, due to a large gap in the cement pad outside the building. Observed on and about 9/6/13.
