29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards:    a)      On or about 09/06/13, at 39-29 Honeywell Street. Long Island City, NY    Employees working on a platform were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 5 ft. to the lower level. The platform was not installed with any railing.     ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips:    a)      On or about 09/06/13, at 39-29 Honeywell Street. Long Island City, NY    An employee cleaning metal chip around the convey system injured his foot. The convey system did not have a guard or a railing to proect the operator from rotating parts.     ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
