OSHA Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing, or likely to cause, death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards while operating the following equipment: a tractors: At Lyford Gin Association, an employee operated a John Deere 2030 tractor. Employees were exposed to the following hazard: Operation of the tractor permitted employees to leave the tractor running while dismounting and re-mounting the tractor.

29 CRF 1910.1030(d)(3)(x): Masks in combination with eye protection devices, such as goggles or glasses with solid side shields, or chin-length face shields, were not worn whenever splashes, spray, spatter or droplets of blood or other potentially infectious materials may be generated and eye, nose or mouth contamination can be reasonably anticipated: At the south side of the Suction Shed building, employees were not provided with personal protective equipment prior to cleaning up a pool of blood from the foundation slab. Employees were exposed to hazards associated with physical contact, inhalation, and absorption.
