Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by the load should the overhead hoist, below-the-hook lifting device or bridge crane system fail:   a)  The following bridge crane/beam structure had no rated load markings:        1.  Machine Shop, on or about 9/12/13: There was no rated load capacity signs on the crane beam for the wright overhead hoist.                    b)  The following overhead hoists had not been inspected on a frequent and periodic basis:    1. Machine Shop, on or about 9/12/13:  Seven CM Loadstar 2 ton overhead hoists had not been inspected.    2. Machine Shop, on or about 9/12/13:  Three CM Loadstar 1 ton overhead hoists had not been inspected.    3. Machine Shop, on or about 9/12/13:  One Jet Hoist 1/2 ton overhead hoist had not been inspected.    4. Machine Shop, on or about 9/12/13: One Jib Crane 1 ton overhead hoist had not been inspeced.     5. Machine Shop, on or about 9/12/13: One Coffing 1 ton overhead hoist had not been inspected.  Among other methods one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to:     1.  Conduct frequent and periodic inspections of the hoists for wear, deteriorations and malfunction as per ASME B30.16-2007, Section 16-2.     2.  Mark the proper rated load capacities on the bridge crane/beam in accordance with ASME B30.11-2010, Section 11-1.1.1
