29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   The employer does not ensure each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels are protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  This violation was observed on or about September 13, 2013, on the east side of the condominium where employees were exposed to a fall hazard greater than 6 feet when installing shingles on the residential condominium without a fall protection system.     The Sabas Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311962260, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on May 14, 2009 with respect to a workplace located at 18511 Egret Bay Boulevard, Webster, TX  77058.      Pursuant to 29 C.F. R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels are protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.
