29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502. (a) Roof, new residential construction located at 445 Lafayette Avenue, Fayetteville, GA 30215: Employee was exposed to falls of approximately 20-feet, 4-inches while installing 1/2-inch OSB plywood on a 3/12 pitched roof with no fall protection system in place. (b) Rear Deck, new residential construction located at 445 Lafayette Avenue, Fayetteville, GA 30215: Employee was exposed to falls of approximately 10 feet while cutting plywood on a deck which was not provided with guardrails along the sides and edges. The exposed employee was not provided with a fall protection system while working at heights over 6' from the lower level.
