29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) 2413 Autmnwood Drive, State College Pennsylvania - Employees performed roofing work on the roof of a residence. The roof pitch was 6 in 12, the pitch of the dormers was 8 in 12. Employees were exposed to a fall of 17 feet from the eave of the second floor roof to the ground below on or about September 16, 2013. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Employees worked on the roof of the residence removing roofing material without fall protection and were exposed to falls of 17 feet from the second floor to the ground below on or about September 16, 2013. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
