29 CFR 1926.502(h)(1)(v): The safety monitor shall not have other responsibilities which could take the monitor's attention from the monitoring function. a. On or about September 11, 2013, at the above addressed jobsite, employees conducting roofing operations were exposed to fall hazards of nine (9') feet four (4") inches, due to the safety monitor having other responsibilities, such as but not limited to, talking on his cell phone.
