29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:     Employees working from a 16-12 pitch roof were exposed to falls of approximately 17 feet 9 inches to a lower level. Employees were not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or a personal fall arrest systems or any other approved means.
