OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing for likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from a gas operated cut-off saw: (a) Hwy 27 N. Glenview Drive NE, Rome Georgia: The employer, T.J. Lyle & Company, did not ensure that employees were furnished with a place of employment free of recognized hazards. Employees were using a gas operated cut-off saw (TS400) to cut a ductile iron water pipe and the pipe was not properly supported to prevent a pinch point where the blade of the saw could jam, exposing employee to struck-by hazards from the saw.
