Flexible cords shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided which will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws.  Pope Army Airfield Bldg. 308 Renovation:  A green 100ft power cord and a wet/dry vac equipment cord lacked proper strain relief thereby exposing internal wiring.
