29 CFR 1926.651(h)(1): Employees were working in excavations in which there was accumulated water, or excavations in which water was accumulating, and adequate precautions had not been taken to protect employees against the hazards posed by water accumulation: a) 38 Sweetwood Drive, inside the excavation, Cedar Grove, NJ. Employees were exposed to the hazards of water accumulating in the excavation as this condition can lead to excavation walls instability and cave-in. Violation occurred on or about 09/20/2013. Fairfield Maintenance, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent 29 CFR 1926.651(h)(1) which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 313861544, Citation Number 1, Item Number 4, with a final order issued on 02/17/2010 with repeat to a workplace located at Route 23 & Boonton Ave, Butler, NJ.

Employees working inside excavation that was not protected from a possible cave-in. Violation occurred on or about 09/20/2013.
