29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about September 23, 2013 and times prior, employees were exposed to injuries from falls while installing roofing materials on a roof in excess of six feet above the lower surface. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Sample Abatement-Certification Letter").
