29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets: A). On or about 09/26/13, at the site of 114-59 Lefferts Blvd. South Ozone Park, NY Employees working underneath of pump jack scaffolds were in danger of head injury from falling objects such as, but not limited to tools and siding material from other employees who working on above section of the scaffolds. Protective helmets were not worn. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19

29 CFR 1926.452(j)(3): When guardrails are used for fall protection, a workbench may be used as the toprail only if it meets all the requirements in paragraphs (g)(4)(ii), (vii), (viii), and (xiii) of 1926.451. A). On or about 09/26/13, scaffolds at 114-59 Lefferts Blvd. South Ozone Park, NY Employees installing siding on pump jack scaffold of the exterior wall of the 3-story house were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 15 ft. to the driveway. The pump jack scaffold was missing mid rail. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
