OSH ACT of 1970 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to the hazards associated with the overturn of a Genie GS-1930 scissors lift by exceeding the maximum allowable side force. On or about September 24, 2013 an employee working from a fully elevated scissors lift was exposed to a tip over as he contacted the wall structure to tilt and lower the wall panel to the ground. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
