29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):  Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.       a) North side of jobsite, on top of foundation wall:       Two employees were doing maintenance work on a concrete side loader at the edge of the foundation wall. The employees did not have fall protection and were exposed to falling 22 feet to the bottom of the building foundation. On or about 10/02/13.       Note:  Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection case file, the employer need not submit certification of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
