ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED.

29 CFR 1926.451(e)(8): Direct access to or from another surface was used when the scaffold was more than 14 inches (36 cm) horizontally and/or 24 inches (61 cm) vertically from the other surface: a) On or about 10-21-13, employees were using a Skyjack scissor lift to access/egress a roof surface twenty-five feet above concrete surface. The lift platform was positioned greater than thirty (30) inches below the roof edge, and employees were climbing up and/or down the platform guardrail; one employee jumped off the roof edge onto the platform to exit the roof surface. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED.
