29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks shall be in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in Sec. 1910.6: 2001 SW 6th Street, Lincoln, NE 68522 (Wash Bay): The employer did not ensure that the storage of a carbon dioxide gas cylinder was adequate. The cylinder was located by an employee pathway and the cylinder was secured by a chain around the nozzle and did not have the valve cap secured on the cylinder while it was in storage.

The procedures had generic steps for locking out equipment, but did not have specific procedures to lock out equipment, including, but not limited to, the Blow Molder. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed.
