29 CFR 1926.96: The employer did not ensure employees wear proper footwear which meets the requirements and specifications in American National Standard for Men's Safety-Toe Footwear, Z41.1-1967.    A).       On or about 10/30/13, at 86-07 35th Ave. Jackson Heights, NY      Employees working at the site were exposed to foot injuries. The employees wore the pair of causal shoes.      ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:    A).       On or about 10/30/13, in the back of 86-07 35th Ave. Jackson Heights, NY     Employees hoisting roofing material on the flat roof were not protected from falling. The employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 12 ft. to the ground at the exterior of the building.     ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
