29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided to prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. On or about October 28, 2013, on the south side of the construction site, employees engaged in framing activities, utilized an extension cord to energize a Makita skill saw that had the outer sheathing pulled away from the strain relief device. The employees were exposed to electrical hazards.
