1926.60l(b)(14): All vehicles in use shall be checked at the beginning of each shift to assure that parts, equipment, and accessories are in safe operating condition and free of apparent damage that could cause failure while in use. These requirements also apply to equipment such as lights, reflectors, windshields, etc. where such equipment is necessary. a. New Jersey Turnpike, East Extension, Hackensack River Bridge (near exit 15X, Secaucus, NJ) Employees and sub-contractor employees were exposed to the hazards of operating equipment at night that was not free of apparent damage or misuse. Violation occurred on or about September 27, 2013
