29 CFR 1926.451(b)(5)(ii): The end of a platform greater than 10 feet in length extended over its support more than 18 inches and the platform was not designed and installed so that the cantilevered portion of the platform is able to support employees without tipping, or has guardrails which block employee access to the cantilivered end: a) At 1173 Weatherford St Auburn, Alabama: On or about October 30, 2013 and at times prior; the employer failed to ensure a scaffold platform used by employees at the front of the house did not extend more then 18 inches past the supports. The platform in use extended 6 feet past the support exposing employees to fall hazards. b) At 1173 Weatherford St Auburn, Alabama: On or about October 30, 2013 and at times prior; the employer failed to ensure a scaffold platform used by employees on the side of the house did not extend more than 18 inches past the supports. The platform in use extended 10 feet past the supports exposing employees to fall hazards.
