29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: Rig #3: On or about November 5, 2013, employees mix mud in a hopper, situated on the ground next to the suction pit; The employer did not provide an eyewash station, while employees work with corrosive material such as Caustic Soda Beads. This condition exposed the employees to serious burns and damage to the eyes and body. Heart Land Drilling Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1926.151(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 902142, citation number 01, item number 002, and was affirmed as a final order on June 19, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at N32.22.380 W101.06.112, Westbrook, TX 79565.

29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6: Drill site: On or about November 5, 2013, compressed gas cylinders of oxygen and acetylene were not secured when stored next to the fuel tank. This condition exposed the employees to struck-by hazards.
