29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:   On and before November 11, 2013, the employer failed to ensure that adequate machine guarding was provided to protect employees from hazards associated with coils under tension. Employees were exposed to clock springing, telescoping and uncontrolled movement and impact hazards while coils are cut/burned into scrap pieces.

29 CFR 1910.303(f)(2): Each service, feeder, and branch circuit, at its disconnecting means or overcurrent device, was not legibly marked to indicate its purpose, nor located and arranged so the purpose was evident:   On and before December 4, 2013, the employer did not ensure all circuit panels were properly labeled. The circuit panels are located on the east wall of the shop.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7):   The alternative method in lieu of affixing labels to individual stationary process containers did not identify the container to which it is applicable and did not convey the information required by 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6):   On and before December 4, 2013, the employer did not ensure containers of hazardous chemicals were properly labeled. Containers of swarf and zorba were only labeled with orange and yellow dots.
