29 CFR 1926.351(b)(2): Cable free from repair or splices for a minimum distance of 10 feet from the cable end to which the electrode holder is connected was not being used: On or about November 14, 2013, an employee on the Northwest side of a new construction building was exposed to an electrical hazard from an AC/DC welder supplying power through a welding cable that had unprotected wires; within 7 feet of the electrode holder.
