29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems or personal fall arrest systems nor was an alternative fall protection plan which meets the requirements of 1926.502(k) developed and implemented : a) Front Awning of Structure - Workers attaching a metal roof cover to the awning were not protected from falling approximately 10-12 feet to the concrete sidewalk below, on or about 11/13/2013. b) Front Porch Main Entrance of Structure - Worker on porch using a miter saw to cut hardwood floor strips, not protected from falling 8 feet off the side of the porch into a window well, on or about 11/13/2013 Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with a stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge: a) Front Porch of Structure - Seven riser stairway measuring 64" from ground to porch level, used by workers laying hardwood flooring on the first level of the townhome was without handrails on either side on or about 11/13/2013. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
