29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) BMC West Corporation dba BMC @ 3400 Tejon St., Denver, CO 80211: On and before November 14, 2013, the exposing employer failed to ensure that an employee performing window removal and installations was protected from fall hazards by an adequate protective system. This condition exposed an employee to a fall hazards of approximately 14 feet.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(22): Employees were observed carrying objects or loads that could cause the employee to lose balance and fall: (a) BMC West Corporation dba BMC @ 3400 Tejon St., Denver, CO 80211: On and before November 14, 2013, an employee was observed carrying a load down a portable metal extension ladder that could have caused him to lose his balance and fall since it limited his ability to use his arms as he was descending the ladder. This condition exposed an employee to fall hazards while descending the ladder.
