29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks.    Employees are exposed to cuts, lacerations and amputations when exposed to the point of operations, due to the employer not using adequate machine guarding. Interlock safety devices on the following machines were not operational:     a) Okuma & Howa M-435V. No Interlock safety device installed on access door.     b) Johnford VMC-1020A, S/N VC7872. Interlock safety device was not operational.    Abatement documentation is not required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.219(e)(1): Horizontal belts and ropes were not guarded from having employees exposed to ingoing nip points at the point of danger.    The employer failed to properly guard the belt and pulleys on the grinding machines. Exposing employees to ingoing nip points.  The guards were removed for the following machines.    a) Majestic T&M sander    b) Parker Majestic sander    Abatement documentation is not required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.215(a) (2): Abrasive wheel(s) used on grinding machinery were not provided with safety guard(s) which covered the spindle end, nut, and flange projections.    The spindle nuts on the following machines were not properly guarded:     a) Green Mitsui High-Tec- There was no front guard installed on machine.    b) Six Twelve Deluxe-Guard was modified to allow access to spindle nut.    c) Grey Mitsui High-Tec- Plexiglas guard was modified to allow access to spindle nut.     Abatement documentation is not required for this item.
