29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(ii): Prior to permitting an employee to operate a powered industrial truck (except for training purposes), the employer shall ensure that each operator has successfully completed the training required by this paragraph (l), except as permitted by paragraph (l)(5). Employees operating the sit-down propane powered forklift at the facility had not received training required by paragraph (l) prior to being allowed to operate the forklift. Central Ohio Logistics Center, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 898825, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on February 25, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 11080 State Rt. 729, Jeffersonville, OH 43128.
