On or about 11/20/2013, Captain Carpentry Construction, Water Front Plaza, #47E-2, 3, 4, 5, 7 Kronprindsens Gade, St Thomas V.I. - elevator shaft wall/scaffold area : Employees were observed working over makeshift scaffold in which its working platform area was not fully planked. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29. CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii): Each employee on a scaffold, not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above lower level was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section. a. On or about 11/20/2013, Captain Carpentry Construction, Water Front Plaza, #47E-2, 3, 4, 5, 7 Kronprindsens Gade, St Thomas V.I. - elevator shaft wall construction area: Employees were working over a makeshift scaffold attached to form wall of 12 feet high from the lower level without a conventional fall protection system, such as guardrail, safety net, or personal fall arrest system in place. Note: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29. CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.
