OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to struck-by hazards while under and around defective automobile lifts: Upper Bay #3 - On or about November 19, 2013, employees are required to work under and around a fully extended hydraulic automotive lift with defective latches. Employees were thereby exposed to struck-by in the event the lift failed.

29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, and service rooms shall be kept clean and orderly and in a sanitary condition. Upper Level - On or about November 19, 2013, the work area at bay #2 was not kept in good repair, in that steel mesh grating that cover the pit was loose and broken, thereby exposing employees to trip and fall hazards.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(6): Each exit sign must be illuminated to a surface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source and be distinctive in color. Self-luminous or electroluminescent signs that have a minimum luminance surface value of at least .06 footlamberts (0.21 cd/m2) are permitted. Shop area - On or about November 19, 2013, the following exit signs were not illuminated as required, thereby exposing employees to the hazards associated with not being able to egress in case of an emergency. 1.
