29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) 600 Newark Avenue, Hoboken, NJ Employees access multiple floors of the building via extension ladders. During the walk-around CSHO observed multiple ladder side rails did not extend at least 3ft above the upper landing surface, thereby exposing employees to a 9ft fall hazard. Violation observed on or about 11/19/2013

Violation observed on or about 11/19/2013 MG Construction, Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 330287, citation number 1, item number 1, issued on 05/14/2012 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/15/2012 with respect to a workplace located at 124-130 Park Avenue, Hoboken, NJ 07030.
